Kitesurfing Lessons

Learning to kitesurf looks harder than it actually is, it just takes time, like all the good things in life. Contrary to what many people think it doesn´t require much strength or ability but for sure a little bit of patience. Here at Kitesurfing Planet we offer lessons for all levels, whether you are a beginner or intermediate rider looking to improve your jumps or turns our instructors have your back. All our instructors are bilingual and have the sole mission of sharing their passion and skills. All kite gear and radio helmet is included in the lesson. The complete kitesurfing course takes around 9 hours (depending on students ability) which is divided in three segments.

Segment 1

Land Lesson 1.5 to 3 hours

During this lesson you will learn wind theory and kite maneuvering. Safety procedures and body drag essential points will be reviewed and practiced.

Segment 2

Body Drag 2 to 3 hours

Learning to body drag correctly is fundamental to becoming an independent kitesurfer, it will give you the confidence you need to go out their on your own when you finish your lessons. During this segment we will practice emergency procedures and relaunching your kite in the water.  If you can go upwind and downwind using only your body to navigate then you are ready for step three.

Segment 3

Board lesson 3 hours

This is the most exciting segment because you will experience kitesurfing for the first time. Putting on the board while maneuvering your kite and doing your first water starts. You will learn to ride goofy and regular while improving your body position and kite control to finally manage to stay upwind.
